Hy-Vee "Demo" Beer Can Chicken
Ingredients
1 can (12 fluid ounce) beer or pop of your choice
Choice of Seasoning (we use Lawry’s)
1 (3-5 pound) PURE POULTRY whole chicken
Directions
Loosen skin from meat
Make a gap between breast and skin – do not remove skin
Sprinkle your seasonings into the gap - Spread around with your fingers
Sprinkle more seasoning on the outside of the skin (optional)
Poor half the beer can into bottom or roaster
Slide the beer can with rest of beer into the chicken cavity – stand chicken up
Tent Roaster with foil
Cook at 350 degrees for 1.5 to 2 hours
