Pulled Pork

Pulled Pork Put a 3-5 pound pork roast in the crock pot overnight on low. I usually put on around 8pm and then at 8-9am I take it out of the crock pot and put on a platter to cool. As you take it out - break apart and it will cool faster. In the crock pot the night - put the fatty side of the roast down and add about an inch of water and I sprinkle some dry onion soup on the roast. After the roast has cooled for about 20-30 minutes on the platter - break apart the pieces with your hands -shreading the meat. You can pull out the fat (if there is any!) and the bones and discard them. Take the remaining shredded meat - put back in the crock pot - (empty now -- drain and rinse out from cooking the roast).

Add 1 bottle of Famous Dave's Rich and Sassy BBQ Sauce -- if you think it is too spicy - you can add a little ketchup. Cook for 1-3 hours on low -- stirring every 1/2 hour. Ready to eat -- but the longer you let it cook and better it tastes!
